After almost 3 years of prayer and preparation, Amazing Grace Christian radio 105.1 FM began broadcasting from Kigali, Rwanda, on February 10, 2009. Our Initial estimate for reaching one million in this capital has been surpassed by utilizing a 1,000-watt transmitter with a 5-bay antenna system.
The result: our station will cover over 16 million people in 5 countries. No wonder Satan fought us so fiercely. Amazing Grace Christian Radio is a far bigger opportunity than we ever dreamed. We are now looking for a station manager to direct this ministry for the glory of God. Please contact us to our email cri@christianradiointernational.org

Bro. Pearson giving his testimony in the Philippines to a public high school in 2005
While in High School he worked at Kroger Grocery Store and carried out the groceries for his future moher-in-law. He graduated from Kankakee high School in 1951. The next april he joined the Air Force. He was stationed at Clark Air Force base in the Philippines. His job was to intercep enemy code Morse then to type it all up. While there he attended a Philipino Baptist Church, the same church that Col. MacCormick was saved at. He spent his days off helping a missionary family with their Christian Radio Station. He developed a real heart for the mission field and for Christian Radio.

We are in desperate need of consistent monthly support for the daily operation of all the CRI radio stations.
Because of the devaluation of the dollar and the increase in oil prices, CRI needs to increase the monthly support by $1,500. Dr. Edgar Fergaly, Director of MAPMinistries, who has carried most of the monthly burden for the Baghdad station, has depleted his funds. Without more support, we will be forced to shorten the broadcast day in both Baghdad and Liberia. Will you please help us?If you or your church would send a love offering or commit to monthly support, please contact CRI immediately at the address listed below or call Dr. George Zarris at (502) 817-1001.

After the recent Homegoing of Pastor Warren Webster, Pastor Ron Parrot has taken over the reins of Yokoma Baptist Church and its outreach Internet radio station.
The following report was received by Pastor Parrott on August 22, 2008: “Our Internet radio station has brought in many Japanese who don’t speak much English but because of the station, they are calling us almost every Sunday to come to the train station to pick them up to come to our church. We have two interpreters working during the preaching hour in the morning and the evening services. Also, we are receiving a lot of hits, emails, and downloads of our services each day from the United States, Europe, Africa, Germany, and other parts of the world. God is blessing our Internet radio station. I wish we could have more in Japanese to put on it. Mr. Tai Kondo, my main interpreter, is going to start translating all my sermons into
Japanese and start preaching them on the Internet as well.”

Testimonies from Liberty Radio 88.2FM:
• In the month of August 35 listeners called in to testify how “Unshackled” has made a great impact on their lives. Many have been led to the Lord by the radio staff.
• Two months ago we introduced the program “Religious Jokes” which airs every Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Our listeners have fallen in love with this program. Here is one man’s testimony: “For weeks there has been tension in my house. My wife and I were not speaking to each other. One evening I tuned in to Liberty Radio. It happened to be joke time. I laughed so hard at the jokes that I called my wife in to listen. Laughter caused the tension in our family to cease, and we were reunited. Tuesday Joke Time saved our marriage.”
• In August, 12 people visited Harvest Baptist Church as the result of Liberty Radio programming. Three are currently in our new converts’ class.

500 Respond …
Lighthouse Christian Radio 104.5 F.M. has been on the air less than three months and already 500 listeners have responded to the message of Christ!
We are now raising money to build a 350-foot tower which will increase our coverage from 1 million to almost 4 million people on three islands.
Praise and prayer request
The Filipino Assistant Secretary to the Office of the President is a frequent listener to Lighthouse Christian Radio. God has been working in his heart through the sermons he has heard, and he has requested a private meeting with Missionary Layne Jones to discuss his personal relationship with Christ.

Sorry, we were wrong!
KIGALI, RWANDA
Missionary Greg Schoof and his excellent team of African Christian workers have successfully completed phase 1 of the building program for Rwanda Christian Radio, 105.1 FM. A 157-foot tower and a transmitter building have been erected on Mt. Kigali (height: 6500 feet) overlooking the capital. News of the Rwanda project reached an HCJB engineer living in Elkhart, Indiana. Unbeknownst to us, engineer Kurt Bender ran a topographical study and discovered, to our surprise, that because of our tower height, our signal will travel far beyond our original expectations.
Rwanda Christian Radio will notreach 6 million people. Instead, it will reach 10 million people in 3 countries including parts of neighboring Tanzania and Burundi.
Now we need your help
The Africans have done all that they can do. Even the children have worked. “God has smiled on our undertaking…” but $30,000 is still needed to complete this project.
